The Hessen coalition CDU / FDP plans to allow the election via the Internet due to the increasing number of non-voters municipal elections in the future.

But that's really a good idea?
Let's look first times the last voter numbers from Hessen at:

If you still considers himself the turnout of the last local elections in 2006, then you will discover a low of 45.8 percent.
It consists in Hessen therefore indeed a need for action, and certainly in many other states.

And to be honest, I would certainly choose the internet rather than to go to the extra-local.

In any case, persons who consider choosing well for not so important as that they drive a few kilometers to a polling station.
Then I ask myself, of course, how important these voices are actually?
Of course, in a democracy, every vote is equally important.
